Bosc Pear Mosaic was painted during the 30-day challenge at the beginning of 2016. I was experimenting with different ways to use the color-breaking idea during that period and had a lot of fun letting myself loosen up. One of the nice things about doing these still lifes with fruit was that they tasted so good when the painting was finished!

A lover of nature, I constantly seek ways to convey my deep love of the landscape, along with the feeling of spirit and serenity it gives me. My goal, whether painting or photographing, is to convey the richness of the landscape, the layers of color, the textures, the feeling of vastness and the transcendent feeling of being alone in the beauty of nature. I was a Realtor for 23 years, in Massachusetts and North Carolina. After retirement, I sold everything and became a full-time RVer for four years, traveling the US and a bit of Canada. Most of these photographs were taken during my travels. At present, I'm happily settled in Tucson, AZ, and spend most of my time painting, drawing and writing. Any watermarks that appear online...
